Wear sizes 8 to 12? The Bape x Crazy Energy+ already asks under its $200 retail

All nine sizes from 8 to 12 are listed under retail. A week ago the cheapest pair was $249, in size 9.5.

Bape x adidas Crazy Energy + “Metallic Silver” sneaker with its release date, Nov 7, and $200 retail

The Bape x Crazy Energy+ “Metallic Silver” releases Saturday, November 7, at $200, and pre-release asks are already below that. Every size from 8 to 11 is listed at $198, and sizes 11.5 and 12 are $199.

That's $2 under retail, which is not much of a discount. Still, a week ago the cheapest pair in sizes 8 to 12 was $249, so the floor came down 20% in seven days.

How it got here

  • October 27: first listed in sizes 8 to 12, at $249
  • November 5: the cheapest pair dropped to $198

Only sizes 9.5 and 11 had listings a week ago, both at $249. Both are $198 now. The other seven sizes from 8 to 12 are new listings this week.

The table shows how flat this is: every size sits within a dollar of the others, and all nine are under retail.

Outside that range it's a different picture. Sizes 12.5 and 13 are $199, but a size 7 asks $227, a 7.5 asks $223, a 13.5 asks $225 and a 14 asks $256, all over retail.

If you wear anything from 8 to 13, I'd take the $198 or $199 pair now. The saving is small, but you get a sure pair in your size at or below what retail costs. Pre-release prices can move, so this could change by Saturday. Other upcoming pairs are on the release calendar.
