Most popular sneakers now sell under retail: 301 of 400 in our checks
Pairs from 2021 and 2022 are the most likely to be under retail, at 87% and 82%. Some sell for a quarter of what they cost in stores.

Three in four popular sneakers sell under retail right now. Of the 400 pairs with the most listings on claqa, 301 cost less than their retail price in at least one size from 8 to 12, and 294 of them have been under retail on every day since our checks began on September 29.
How deep the discounts go
Among the 301, the typical pair sells 36% under retail, and 82 of them sell at half price or less. Some go much further: the Air Jordan 1 “Brotherhood” is $42 against a $170 retail, and the Yeezy Quantum “Barium” is $62 against $250.

Pairs from 2021 and 2022 are the most likely to sell under retail. The oldest group, from 2020 or earlier, is the least likely, though almost two in three of those pairs are under retail too. One pair from 2026 is in the 400, and it is under retail as well.

adidas has the highest share, and Yeezys are among its deepest discounts: our Yeezy price check found seven popular pairs 40% to 75% under retail. New Balance and Converse have four pairs between them, and three are under retail.
